England Futsal are delighted to announce the launch of the England Futsal National Youth Cup for the 2023/24 season; this competition builds on the foundations built by The FA Pokémon Youth Cup in previous years.
At the heart of our competition is the participant experience and being able to enjoy Futsal in a safe & fun environment appropriate to age & stage. We have designed the events following consultation with stakeholders including previous & aspirational competition entrants.
Each age group will run a competition for the boys/mixed and girl’s pathway’s respectively, and all competitions are open to all clubs and schools that are affiliated for the 2023/24 season.
Entries for the U14s & 16s age groups are closed. Entry is just £40 per team along with upfront player registration fees covering the first 8 players of a team (subsequent additional players can be added free of charge).
Details on the format for each category can be found below:
We will be hosting 8 regional standalone Futsal festivals around the Country between April and June, focusing on a high fun, low pressure introduction to playing futsal in a tournament environment.
Recognising that many entrants will also play regular football, we are working with league/school calendars when selecting dates.

The Under 14’s age group will participate in a National competition, beginning with local qualifiers and passing through regional rounds on the way to national semi-finals and the Grand Final.
We are working with local delivery organisations in every county to deliver the local qualifying events in line with a set of National Experience Standards (NES) to standardise the participant experience across England. These can be found here: Under 14s – National Experience Standards. The NES will upgrade as teams progress through the competition. Local qualifiers will run between January & March with exact dates confirmed with competition entrants prior to the Festive break.
Winners of these will proceed to one of 4 regional rounds during April. Which local qualifiers are associated to each Regional Event and the dates of these can be found here: EFYC U14 Regional Groups. We will confirm venues with entrants prior to the Festive break to allow for planning should the be successful in their Local Qualifiers.
